Proof that LEAN management really does work in health care: interventional cardiac care centers with high adoption and maintenance of LEAN principles showed reduced 30-day, risk adjusted mortality rates for heart attacks.  They also performed better on the use of ACE inhibitors for congestive heart failure patients with left ventricular dysfunction and providing percutaneous coronary interventions within 90 minutes for patients arriving to their hospitals with heart attacks.

If only everyone got on board…
