Each day for the month of December, I’ll be posting one of Marc and Angel’s “30 Things to Stop Doing to Yourself” with a little commentary from yours truly.
27) Stop trying to be everything to everyone. – Doing so is impossible, and trying will only burn you out. But making one person smile CAN change the world. Maybe not the whole world, but their world. So narrow your focus.
You are only responsible to yourself. The people around you who you choose to help are not your responsibility (unless they are your children – in which case they are definitely your responsibility). You cannot possibly please everyone all the time – it won’t work. My limited life experience has taught me that one already. Do what you can, but don’t let pleasing everyone overwhelm you.

Absolutely true.
Very true!! One of my best friends is just like that. Beautiful soul and would help you in what ever you need but he takes everyone’s problems to heart and makes theme his! Then he gets all frustrated cause he can’t do anything about it. Ive told him: ” You can’t fix the world and you can’t fix every problem that arises” all you can do is listen and if you were able to help just one person, then you have done your part!
